Stray Action for Dogs

21 December 2018

Mya was saved from a horrendous life of starvation and fear from the streets of Bosnia and brought to the UK in search of a happy ever after. Sadly her journey has been fraught with bad luck. After managing to escape from her foster carer, Mya went on the run in Langley Park, County Durham, for over three weeks. Mya became a well-known face in the surrounding area, with many locals helping to keep her safe and hoping that she would be caught. Finally the good news came that she was safe, when she was contained in a local garden by neighbours and returned to her rescuers at Deerness Kennels. Her sad story doesn’t end there unfortunately. Whilst on the run Mya suffered a serious injury to her back leg and now requires an operation to save it. We are fundraising in the hope of raising £800 to be able to give her the chance of enjoying her life which she so rightly deserves after all she has been through.
